T-shirt silhouettes include: the straight-cut (or boxy) style, which is uniform in width from top to bottom; the A-line, which is narrower at the top and wider at the bottom; the X-shape, featuring a cinched waist; the egg shape, which is voluminous in the middle and rounded at both ends; and the diamond shape, which is wide in the middle and tapers to points at the ends-all of which fall under the category of loose-fitting styles.
Other types include form-fitting (tight) styles, which are typically shorter, smaller, and highly elastic; and tailored (fitted) styles, which are made from non-stretchy fabric and feature curved shaping around the bust. There are also more unconventional, avant-garde designs characterized by arbitrary, geometric paneling.
